Our Clients

Hitachi Rail UK
Hitachi Rail were submitting a Command and Control System (CCS) bid for High Speed 2. Engaged as Technical Workstream Lead to produce the Interface, Integration and RAM Management Plans for the CCS solution. Worked closely with Subject Matter Experts in Italy and the UK to develop comprehensive and detailed plans within tight page limits. Undertook extensive research to develop quantified case studies.
Siemens Rail Infrastructure
Siemens Rail Infrastructure needed to improve their bidding processes to improve win rates. Engaged as Lead Bid Writer to produce the 2-stage ECML bid, responsible for developing the technical submissions and implementing new processes. Created and introduced a standardised suite of storyboarding, submission and review templates along with progress and bid commitment tracking. ECML bid success led to Siemens first large-scale Digital Railway bid win and new processes underpinned subsequent bid wins.
West Coast Partnership Development
West Coast Partnership Development were required to deliver the HS2 Operational Review as part of its franchise agreement. Responsible for producing the report by working with 3 core workstreams covering 13 technical areas. Conducted extensive analysis and worked with workstreams to understand and describe identified issues and solutions. Created new document templates for the business. Achieved all draft sign off gateways. Succeeded by producing the final document on time for submission to DfT/HS2.
Arriva
Arriva were submitting an East Midlands Franchise Bid. Engaged as Lead Writer for Train Services, Rolling Stock, Performance and Alliancing Delivery Plans – worth 70% of the bid score. Analysed passenger crowding and revenue, train fleets and network constraints to inform bid initiatives. Worked with workstreams to shape and refine document structure, flow and content within page limits. Conceptualised graphics and tables to explain complex concepts and facilitate evaluation.
Go Ahead
Go Ahead were preparing their South Eastern Franchise Bid. Engaged as Lead Writer to write the Train Services Delivery Plan. Undertook significant research and analysis of crowding levels, rolling stock and network capabilities to help the team determine train service proposals and meet TSRs. Role required significant understanding of the timetable options, interdependencies, revenue and performance impacts to produce graphics illustrating the timetable iterations. The proposals were used in the Dec 2019 timetable.
